This initiative is on-going, runs on a full year annual scope. Successful applicant will lead the sustainability programme for Tune Protect Group Berhad, a public listed company. He/she is an internal subject matter expert on Corporate Sustainability encompassing Economic, Environmental & Social (EES) and Governance pillars. Sustainability Reporting in Annual/Integrated report is a mandatory requirement under Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s Main Market Listing Requirements, Sustainability Reporting Guide and Risk Management & Internal Control – Guidelines for Directors of Lister Issuers.
Manages the end-to-end process of the Sustainability Statement reporting which forms part of the listed company’s Annual/Integrated Report and must be drafted to cover the necessary regulatory requirements. The process includes data gathering, materiality assessment, mapping of initiatives and drafting of statement).
Works with internal stakeholders (business units and enablers) and external parties (external auditors, consultants) to align the Company’s material matters to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”) and Global Reporting Initiatives (“GRI”) Standards; continuously identify and implement areas to improve the Company’s FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index to a minimum of 2.9; embed and implement Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations into the Company’s Sustainability reporting and ensure reporting follows the necessary disclosures required of a listed company.
Acts as a secretariat for the Sustainability Committee (“SuCom”), a gatekeeper and liaison between SuCom, internal stakeholders and external stakeholders whereby meetings are held once a month, and SuCom reports into the Tune Protect Group’s Board every quarter.
Works with business units to ensure identified sustainability initiatives are on track, monitors that initiatives performance against targets, prepares monthly reporting for SuCom.
Acts as a central point of contact for queries from analysts, investors, media and other relevant parties on sustainability-related matters.
Project manage the end-to end process of the Company’s Annual/Integrated Report in accordance to the regulatory requirements and timelines as stipulated in the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s Main Market Listing Requirements and Risk Management & Internal Control – Guidelines for Directors of Listed Issuers, Securities Commission’s Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance, Value Reporting Foundation’s Integrated Reporting Framework and Bank Negara Malaysia’s Guidelines on Corporate Governance.
Prepares annual budget and monitor the spending to ensure within approved budget.
Manages with internal data owners, Company Secretary and external auditor to ensure timeliness and accuracy of disclosures, including Key Statements such as the Corporate Governance Overview Statement, Corporate Governance Report, Audit Committee Report, Risk Management Committee Report, Risk Management and Internal Control Statement and Additional Compliance Information
Project running the Company’s Annual General Meeting event from sourcing of agenda, venues, food, poll administrators, scrutineers, door gifts, presentation, shareholder management, company secretary & board members’ preparation, Q&As etc.
Prepares budget and monitor the spending to ensure within approved budget
Translation of corporate documents, marketing collaterals, interpretation works, etc. from English to Bahasa Indonesia and vice versa as the Company has a sizable Indonesian business.
Provides project management expertise to business and support units
Prepares, organizes and/or compiles work-stream/project updates for management reporting
Develops, updates project plans and follow-up on outstanding items
Organizes all key project meetings within line of business as deemed necessary
Compiles updated project plans and provides highlights on key changes impacting the overall project/program (if any)
Prepares meeting notes and subsequently follow-up on action items coming out from the meetings – the incumbent will be required to attend all key meetings to identify key action items/issues for escalation
Assists in managing resources required to run the projects effectively and efficiently
Prepares budget during project initiation phase and monitor the spending to ensure within approved budget
Organise, prepare, and conduct any internal ad hoc sustainability training requests.
Min 4-5 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Business Administration; Management, Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Economics
Graduated with at least a 2nd class upper
Candidates with certification in sustainability or sustainability reporting framework is preferred but not necessary
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Highly meticulous with attention to detail.
Must be comfortable interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
Able to establish oneself as a thought leader in the area of sustainability.
