A great opportunity has arisen for an inspirational HR Programs and DE&I Director to join our Asia Pacific (APAC) HR Team at ERM, a global sustainability consulting firm. The focus of this role will be two-fold:
To build new programs where needed but you will also leverage and scale existing programs and initiatives. You will have high judgement and customer centricity to determine how best to efficiently deliver programs that resonate with employees. You will take a regional approach to every initiative but appreciate that some level of adaptation may be required locally. You will be responsible for overall program strategy as well as managing the details, including project managing the various projects to successful implementation.
To contribute to our global Diversity, Equality and Inclusion approach, providing leadership, support and direction at the APAC level. The role provides and implements solutions to complex inclusion challenges within the framework of relevant legislation, ERM policies and our global DE&I strategy. The DE&I Lead is responsible for implementing the regional plan in APAC, as well as providing a high standard of advice, support and delivery across the business on diversity, equality and inclusion matters. The role-holder is expected to connect our global priorities with regional action plans, as well as being the primary connection point for the APAC Employee Resource Groups.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to interface across the APAC countries and all levels within the company. You will have exceptional visibility and the opportunity to influence team strategy and execution in partnership with HR and business leadership. Ideally, this role should be based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur but we will consider suitable candidates from other Asia Pacific locations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Diversity, Equality & Inclusion and also be have strong program design and implementation experience. The candidate will be quick in appreciating the ‘problem statement’, learn by connecting the dots and the ability to bring various elements together to design and implement programs. You will work with business and HR leaders to prioritize programs which will have the greatest positive impact to our business strategy and growth.
Key stakeholders include Regional, Business Unit and Country Leaders, Regional HR and Business Unit HR and Group HR Leaders.
Own the overall strategy of a large program by successfully managing all stages (from concept to delivery) to address challenging business goals.
Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks).
Ensure program stays aligned with organizational objectives.
Communicate, influence and socialize ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences.
Define key performance metrics – develop metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives.
Influence team priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
Diversity, Equality & Inclusion
Create and implement the APAC DE&I action plan in conjunction with the APAC Leadership Team and Global Head of DE&I; track and report quarterly on progress to ensure that learning and results are utilised to improve DE&I programs and processes
Assist with diversity analytics, including benchmarking, tracking metrics, analysing and generating diversity reporting for regional management to highlight trends and demonstrate impact of DE&I programs and initiatives
Provide coordination of APAC Employee Resource Groups; ensure connection to global priorities and raise key issues to the global level
Actively engage with Partners and employees creating effective feedback loops around our DE&I efforts and adjust programs accordingly.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field and with 10+ years HR experience
Highly organized with proven business experience managing multiple complex projects.
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Demonstrated ability to align and motivate key stakeholders at all levels and to interact with multidisciplinary teams to achieve overarching objectives.
Influences others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet organization’s objectives, and is proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to results.
