PEMIMPIN GSL is an organisation focused on providing high quality, evidence-based leadership training for teachers and school leaders from government schools in Malaysia. Since 2017, we have worked with over 400 schools from all over Malaysia and have reached nearly 2000 teachers. PEMIMPIN’s program offerings cover school leaders, middle leaders and teacher leaders through a differentiated program specifically designed to meet the needs of these leaders.
PEMIMPIN GSL strives to reach out to as many schools throughout Malaysia providing customised support and strong leadership development training to help educators improve their lessons, build their leadership skills, and to improve educational outcomes for their students. PEMIMPIN currently has a team of 11 people, from diverse backgrounds, serving over 200 schools in Malaysia. We are funded by a range of corporate organizations including YTL Foundation, ECM Libra Foundation, Sime Darby Foundation, Yayasan Hasanah, and UBS Optimus Foundation. Responsibilities
Organizational Support:
Support the growth and development of the organization including, but not limited to overseeing all administrative matters of PEMIMPIN GSL. Works with the CEO to:
Manage and maintain all accounting records of the organization
Manage and maintain all claims from employees
Work closely with the accountant to ensure financial budgets are kept on time
Carry out clerical duties of the organization including working with CEO to manage schedules, board meetings and external events of the organization.
Working closely with the audit and tax firms yearly for audits and tax purposes.
Human Resource Support:
Works with the CEO to:
Prepare employment contracts for employees
Working with the existing HR systems to ensure all employee-related records are maintained and updated accordingly.
Develop and track professional development needs for employees.
Develop HR policies and strategies for the organization.
Understand the hiring needs of the organization and develop the strategy for hiring and retaining talent.
Requirements
Required Competencies:
Passion for PEMIMPIN GSL’s mission and the movement, with a desire to operate within PEMIMPIN GSL’s vision and values
Ability to communicate ideas effectively and critically, both verbally and in writing (Bahasa Melayu & English)
Work collaboratively in a team environment and is adaptable to working efficiently in a fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
Creative and critical in proposing strategies and solutions for the betterment of the organization.
Strong proficiency in MS Office and G Suite platforms
Who should consider this role:
At least 2 years working experience with a Bachelor’s degree (in any field)
Experience in overseeing administrative matters of a social enterprise would be an added advantage
Experience in handling audits, HR matters, and overall organizational support would be an advantage.
Experience in non-profit organizations or social sectors would be an added advantage
